I Wish I Had A Tail

I Wish I Had A Tail, by Bratfink

I wish I had a tail
I’d be a monkey in a tree
And everyone who walked on by
Would stop and wave at me!

I wish I had a tail
I’d be a lion on the plain
I’d flick my kingly tail at you
And brush my golden mane.

I wish I had a tail
Like the peacock at the zoo
I’d spread my gorgeous feathers
And strike a pose for you

I wish I had a tail
Like the beaver in the lake
For I would scare the fishes
With every noise I make.

I wish I had a tail
Like the doggie down the street
And I would wag it to and fro
Each time that we would meet.

I wish I had a tail
Like an ermine in the snow
Then I would hide and you would see
Just the black tip show.

I wish I had a tail
Like a bouncy kangaroo
I’d hide and jump and startle you
When I yelled out “BOO!”

I wish I had a tail
Like a cow’s for when it’s hot
I’d swat at all the biting bugs
Who bother me a lot!

I wish I had a tail
Like my little kitty cat
She is so soft and furry,
Oh yes, I’d quite like that.

As I put my clothes on
I stop and realise
That if I had a real tail
Folk would close their eyes.

My pants they would not fit me
So I’d have to walk out nude
And this I simply could not do
Because it is quite rude.

But if I had a tail
Like a monkey in a tree
It wouldn’t be so bad to have
The whole world laugh with me!
